This stainless steel piece houses the button used to turn on the K101 MOD and is an integral part of the MOD case.
The ON/OFF locking ring on this bottom piece is in place as a safety feature. When in the LOCKED position, the button is unable to be depressed and the MOD will not fire up. There is also a vent built into this piece for added safety while you're using your MOD.
